Mardomnameh is a People's History Journal, founded in autumn 2016 and currently printed twice per year. Our principal focus is on people's history and historiography in Iran, covering a broad range of interdisciplinary fields including cultural studies, intellectual history, sociology, political economy, literature, women's studies and anthropology. We further analyse and critique the historiography of modern Iran and discuss methodologies and theoretical frameworks in the study of people's history worldwide. Mardomnameh aims to establish a platform of debate and exchange on people's history with academics and the public. We also hope to encourage research collaborations on people's history with scholars and specialists around the world.
