Aims & Scope

Mardomnameh is a people's history research journal, currently printed twice per year and available in a digital format. The journal is published in Persian but we strongly welcome contributions to our blog and social media platforms from all scholars and researchers that work on people's history. On our English website, we hope to make our content increasingly more accessible to our international audience. Mardomnameh publishes articles, translations, interviews and review articles in relation to all genres and fields of relevance to people's history, including but not limited to: history of beliefs, history of emotions, history of letter-writing, subaltern history, microhistory, sociolinguistic history, women's history, history of childhood, history of music and history of objects.

Submission Form

​​​- Mardomnameh accepts submissions in the field of people's history. Submissions to the journal should be original and exclusive to Mardomnameh.

- Submissions to the journal must be in Persian only. In our Blog, we accept blog posts/review articles in English on fields/genres of relevance to people's history.

- Submissions to the journal must not exceed 6,000 words, For the blog, the maximum is 1,500 words.

​​​​​​​- In blog posts, photos and videos should be referenced, with hyperlinks applied where relevant.  

- A short biography detailing the writers' research fields and research interests should be included.
